R25 for sure is heading to India, but now news comes out that the CBR300 will be heading to India in November. One has to wonder if Yamaha won't simply match that with the R3? I mean the R25 will already clean the 300's clock, but marketing is marketing

I wouldn't doubt it since there are rich area in India that wants them. Also it's good news for us because it will pressure Yamaha to get that R3 out quicker to compete lol.

The only downside to them having success in Indian is them setting up production in India and quality of things going a bit downhill because of that

I haven't actually heard of bikes being manufactured in India having worse quality. i think that is just a stereotype that we project onto places that aren't more Western in their culture. Besides they could have more than one factory building the bikes. An Indian factory for the East and another factory in Europe or North America for the West.

Maybe not as well as in North America but I know for a fact the sport bike market their is growing and people will be buying these in good numbers, just not sure how good.

I am pretty sure that when they are about to make the R3 they engine will probably be made in Japan. Most likely, some parts of the frame and so fourth will be made japan and india.

I doubt that. CBR250s and CBR300s both come out of the same factory in Thailand... Having two separate facilities would just introduce more cost into the equation and whos going to pay for that

I believe they are made in the same plant, it would make sense that they are since it's a big waste to not do this since both are identical in many ways

A lot of "toys" are like that, they end up getting made else where and mainly the top dog toy is made in it's home market.
