Based on what the R125 has we can figure out what the R3 should at least come equipped with...

New Upside down front forks
Redesigned Rear monoshock linkage
New Aluminium swing arm

SO at bare minimum we should expect the R3 to have a similar set up, likely even better...

It's just sad how they have to put a cover on the exhaust to make it look thicker. underneath all that is just 1 1/2 piping.

Sounds about right. Probably when I get it I will upgrade the exhaust, shock, brakes, brake lines, rotor, and forks.

we dont know what the R3 is like so I dont know what the R126 to CBR125 comparison will do for you.

One thing is for sure

The R125 looks a heck of a lot better than the CBR125

it also makes more power and torque

The R125 is lighter as well I believe

i think the R125 weighs as much as the CBR125 while being loaded with fluids.

If i compared the CBR125 to the R125 I would still find the Yamaha impressive, and i would still find the R3 impressive because I have no idea what it has to do with the CBR125...

If your issue is with looking to R125 for R3 hints you should consider that the entire R series is slotted for update this year and R125 was the first of the bunch. It dictates the styling cues the rest of the R series should utilize, including the R3...

That is if the R3 is even a 300cc version of the R25.

The Yamaha R125 and R25 are both some of the best in their class.

Just look at the numbers.

And also worth mention they are sexy as ****.

Yamaha just has the best of everything within it's segment. Honda just has decent performance but lacks in looks especially with it's CBR250's and even the 300

the cbr250 and 300 aren't bad motorcycles.
they compete with the ninja 300 and 250

but the r25 and r3 are just more "racey" compared to them.

i have a feeling if they come to north america they will also cost more as well.

Thats just yamaha's nature when it come down to it really. No matter which bike it is all of them have an aggressive seating position and look.

you know what I could actually see myself getting behind, is a nake version of the R3. Something styling along the lines of the FZ09 just in a slightly more compact package. Should be more tossable as well...

If the R3 takes any design inspiration from the R125. I'll be happy. I absolutely love my R125. however big design changes with the YZF series this year. for the better fingers crossed

the r125 is a nice looking 125cc sport bike.. but its still kind of dinky.
