Bars lowered 2", seat raised almost 1" at rear, quick twist 1/4 throttle mod, MotoDynamic Integrated tail light and stubby DIY muffler...Rides, feels and sounds more like a REAL sport bike now !!!
Next are rear sets, R1 style tank and flush mount front signals...
I'm with you on that one. I have no desire to ride such a wide bike as the R6 and R1. This is why the CBR600RR/CBR1000RR are so appealing to me. They offer great performance without trying to be mister big back wide track bike all the time. The RR isn't much wider than our bikes. ****, my BMW isn't much wider either. I love my R3, but for different reasons than I like my S1000RR.
I'm 6'3" 245 lbs...
I feel like a monkey humping a football when I see my reflection...
A bigger tank will make the bike look bigger and me feel better...
Plus the bike I put the most miles on was a 93' GSXR 750 an its tank was LOW but very WIDE...
I am really used to that design...
Plus my friend said sitting on my R3 felt like sitting on a bicycle...lol
Not with those super high bars and sewing machine exhaust sounds from before....
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my bike, just needed some minor tweaks for my taste...
My second bike was a new 93' gixr750 in 93' I spent almost 50,000 miles on her...
I have ridden and owned other bikes, but just something about the way that bike felt between my legs...
My R3 is getting close too it...
Except for the weight and HP...
What paint did you use for the fairings, and any special procedure? How is the color matching? Looks pretty good in the pic! I am interested in doing those same parts either in silver or blue. Your silver looks fantastic, I might emulate that... lol
