Hi this is Worldbeater from the Netherlands.
Riding since 1992 with over 30 bikes.
Currently own an BMW S1000RR which is mostly used for the race track.

Within one week I am receiving my new black R3 with some modifications.
Akrapovic full race exhaust system and an Yamaha quickshifter.

I am thinking about other wheels and the Suter slipperclutch.
But first I want to ride to the first engine service ASAP after receiving the bike.
Currently wintertime, but temperatures above 0°C are very common here.

Where'd you find the Yamaha Quickshifter for the R3? Is that an option where you are?

Yes, both parts are supplied by the European Yamaha Warehouse.
The Akrapoviç as well.

I could select them on the website of the dealer.
It was not in stock.
Delivery time only five days.

This week the bike and parts are received from Yamaha.
Tomorrow it will be ready, next week is new year..
This why we wait for the registration and license plate.

The Akrapovic is available here as well, but not the Quickshifter, at least it wasn't as of 2020 when I worked there, and I can't find it on Google. It was an option for MT09, MT10, R1, R6, and R7 though.

But to my understanding nothing has changed since 2019.

I want to use GP Shift, but Yamaha has no design to change this easily.
My BMW can do both with the same part.
Just change the position of one bolt. 😇

Yeah, no changes since 2019. It's just not available here in the US, Idk if it'd work with a US ECU.

Yes, that is a good option and very affordable.

I have to sort out the quickshifter when changing to another rear set.
We will see next week how things work with the standard shift.
Maybe it satisfies me enough.

The Akrapovic exhaust system has not arrived in time.
We have agreed to change it after running in the engine.

My other plan to run in the engine within 48 hours has changed.
I expect that it will take a bit more than two weeks.
Other people need my help, so no days off and no time for us 2.
Me and my R3. 😅

Hope to drive up to 150 kilometers.

I did bought extra OEM wheels to use as a spare set and for better tyres. 😎
Blue color and one year old.

Pirelli Corsa Rosso IV/III is the idea.

First kilometers are just fine.
It is a nice little sports bike.
Cornering is so much fun.

Going to change the rear suspension completely and install cartridges from Adreani for a better setup of the front fork.
It sometimes feels like an air pump.
And nothing can be set differently.

The front sprocket has been replaced from 14t to 15t.
This is a major improvement for me.

Where did you do the ECU flash?
Tovami?

For road use this will be the maximum improvement without further tuning.
54 bhp is possible, but that is for race use.
I heard that the crankshaft is not very keen on the high revs.
They tend to fail..

Thanks for posting, my Akrapoviç full race system has to come quickly and removing the air system will be done too.
Then I will go to Tovami Goes for the ECU flash.

Great result.

Your bike seems very healthy, as it produces 41.8 BHP at original setup while it should be only 42 BHP at the crankshaft.
Maybe the USA ECU delivers more power because it is not restricted like in Europe for the A2 license??

TST open airbox mod, funnels, R3 ECU (2MS part no.) Leovince exhaust, 98 RON fuel (94OCT) and Iridium spark plugs?

Then jou have to buy the GYTR full engine kit for the correct engine model.
It has a thinner cilinder gasket, forged high compression pistons, different inlet and outlet camshaft and (caps?) other air intake.

Ten Kate Racing products can supply you the information.

I have changed the oil this week.
Normal service at the dealer is at 1.000 km.
But the oil seems a bit wasted at 41,7% of that distance already.

Next upgrade will be an Adreani front cartridge set with compression, rebound etc.

The rear shock will be changed completely.
I have ordered the item a couple of weeks ago and visited the suspension shop last Friday.
They surprised me by telling about a canceled order from Taiwan.
This concerns a more expensive model.
And I am going to receive the same model as a free upgrade because these parts are custom made, but now they sell them from stock.
This is the best win~win situation there can be. 😁 👍 🥳
