Haven't gotten an R3 yet, that's still an ongoing debate. I am 80% certain I'll be getting one between now and the end of Feb though. I'm not knew to motorcycles, been riding since I was 10 (I'm 32). Since then I've had several bikes and out all of them my favorite was my 06 GSXR 750. From 15 to the age of 24 I raced several class types. Have had hundreds of track days under my belt on sluggish Harleys to a former Motor GP bike. My reasons for considering an R3 are short and sweet. It's light, good power for its class, looks and it's capabilities on the track (modded of course). I'm excited to start racing again and excited for what the r3 can bring to the table. I have a feeling Yamaha will be going full bore with this platform and will be supporting the racing community as has kawasaki in their ninja 300.
