Hi everybody!
First off, my name is Bryce and I am from Maple Plain MN, nice to meet you!
I purchased my R3 last Thursday, and like many, it is my first motorcycle. My father has always been a Harley rider, and since he has always dreamed of me riding with him, I grew up riding scooters, mopeds, dirt-bikes, etc. However, due to being busy since I graduated from High School (7 years ago) with college, then my career, then family health issues, I had never had an opportunity to get out and get my motorcycle license. Well, that has finally changed.
I purchased my R3 last Thursday, but was not able to take it home right away due to the service department being closed, and they needed to prep it still. So I told them that I would pick it up the following day, forgetting of course that it was supposed to rain and storm all day. So the next day I am sitting at work, watching the radar, looking for a window of opportunity to go get it, when I see the gap in the storm. Perfect. I rushed out to the dealership, hopped on, rode home in light rain, and got it safely into my garage just before the heavens opened up and rain came pouring down.
I was not able to ride at all on Saturday, but I have put 140 miles on in the past 2 days. I absolutely love everything about the bike, except for the rear fender.....I hate that. A lot. But I just ordered the Vagabond fender eliminator kit today (I saw it mentioned by a forum member in a post) and cannot wait for it to be delivered. I had been searching for a kit that utilized the factory license plate light.
That's about it for my introduction. I look forward to getting to know all of you.
