Just introducing myself.
‘I just got a used 2020 R3 with low miles.
‘I’ve been riding for 23 years and have owned many bikes including a 996, many BMW’s and some dualmsports.

I know they say the R3 is a beginner bike, but I disagree.
Yes is is good for beginners, but also for experienced riders.

’I’m not a top speed nut. So the R1 doesn’t make sense.
for around town riding, an R6 would be overkill.
‘the R3 is great for riding around town.
I like being able to wring a bike out and use much of its capacity as opposed to having a bike where I barely use 20% of its capabilities.
It’s great to be back on a sport bike. It’s been a long time since I rode a 996.

Hi, welcome to the forum!

The R3 has been my favorite bike thus far in terms of fun, power, comfort, and cost. I had a 2008 R6 and a 2017 R6 and although I enjoyed them, it was work to ride them. The R3 is such an easy and non-fussy ride!
