Hey guys!

Posting in a separate thread to try to get a bit more visibility.

I'm a new rider located downtown Toronto. Male, 33. Amid this pandemic, went and got myself a 2020 R3, matte black. Been riding around the city a little, taking it easy, just learning. Looking to get into the scene, meet other riders in the area, play with some mods, and so on.

If anyone would like to go for a ride, or know of any new rider events in the area, give me a shout! I've seen a few R3s on the streets here, so I know they're out there.

Cheers!

I am from Georgetown about 45min west of the city. was in TO today for a ride, was busy with the lakeshore closed in the west end. Hope to see you around, been moding a few things here and there. I picked up a 2019 a week ago and have been researching and customizing like crazy.... lol

Awesome. I was also out riding yesterday. Yeah, nowadays they close eastbound Lakeshore and some other streets every weekend for ActiveTO. I started riding this summer mainly around Exhibition Place. It's a large open area with not much happening due to pandemic, especially earlier in the year. Now they've blocked off a lot of it for the NHL playoff bubble, but there's still plenty of space left to practice. I have since expanded to riding around various parts of the city, but I still make regular stops around the Ex. I honestly think it's a fantastic area for bike meetups. Empty parking lots, cool iconic Toronto area, and no residential neighbourhoods around so you won't bother anyone. Across from the Ex is Ontario Place, which is also cool. Nice views, good vibes. And it's basically right on Lakeshore, which is a nice road for riding. I see sport bike gangs around the city from time to time, some with obnoxious antics though. Not really into that, I just enjoy cruising around city streets while getting more comfortable with the bike. Still haven't even hit 1,000 km. Favourite areas so far are around the Ex grounds, Lakershore, Queens Quay, the docks, and around U of T campus, and the streets that link them. Not planning on hitting the highway for a while. Maybe I'll see you and others around!
