Hi there,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to both the motorcycle community and the R3 family. Last weekend I purchased my first bike (the red R3 in my avatar). I am really happy and excited to be riding. As a new rider I am all ears to tips and advice. I am located in the Bay Area and would love to meet up with people and go for a ride someday. I look forward to hearing from everyone. :)

Welcome, and congrats on joining the community!
I can't imagine learning how to ride a motorcycle on something with a clutch. I rode scooters for 10 years before I bought this thing. But welcome and good luck. My advice: ATGATT. On cinco de mayo I was tagged from behind by a woman not paying attention. Totaled out my scoot and put me in the ER for a neck and knee injury. Speed of accident: Stationary. I wasn't even moving and she whacked me.
Congratulations on the purchase of the faster color. This forum is a great place to look for knowledge and mods.
Enjoy the ride!
Congratulations on the purchase of the faster color.
...But he clearly said he bought a RED one, not BLUE ;-) . Welcome, mangosing
Yes I'm sorry he got the slowest color too, but he's a newbie. We'll forgive him this time.
