Hello everyone, just bought a 2015 R3 with 5600 miles. It's stripped down, ready to be built into a track bike, and totally stoked about it! I formerly owned a 2001 SV 9 years ago and excited to be riding again.
Hi all!! I just picked up a 2015 R3 a few weeks back. It's in full race trim and will make a nice second track weapon sitting next to my 2009 R6. Really looking forward to the next track season to have some fun on the new to me R3.
My name is Michael, Im from the San Fernando Valley located in the northern part of Los Angeles County. Ive had my 2017 R3 for about a year. Looking to further educate myself about my bike and get questions answered since I like to do the work myself. If your in the Los Angeles Area and wanna go tear up the streets hit me up
After a year of looking I’ve picked up a 2015 R3 for a track bike. This forum has been while helpful with making some repairs and info regarding track prep. The work has only just started.
I don't know if I posted here yet? I'm new here, but not new to bikes. I've been riding for over 40 years. My wife and I just got an R3 for each of us. Mine will be street only. I'm converting hers to track only for her (I have FZ-07 that's my dedicated track bike). We are both really excited to be a part of the R3 world!!!!
Hi everyone, I'm Andrew and I'm about to buy a blue and gray R3 in a few days. I'm so excited about it I can't wait. I've had a Yamaha R15 as well as a Ninja 300. Cheers!
Hey everyone,
I live in the Bay Area, just bought my first bike and have so much to learn. Already having problems with it but hopefully, it all goes well!!

Hello! My name is Andrew, I've been riding my 2018 White R3 since about June of 2018. Mostly stock minus a few minor items : TST integrated tail lights and TST flush mount turn signals, battery tender, and first new set of tires to replace the Michelin Pilots on the way as of this morning (Pirelli Angel GT II) 120/70/17 front and 160/60/17 rear. I prefer Red Line 10w-40 oil, and I need to learn how to measure/adjust chain slack as my next project.
I previously owned a 200_ Ninja 250 and a 2012 Yamaha Fz6r back in 2014.
I've used this forum A LOT since I bought this bike and figured it was time to join the threads.
New member and new rider from Georgia. I have been reading good info from posts on this forum and I’m now joining since I recently purchased my first bike. It’s a 2020 Yamaha R3 Matte Black. I plan on some mods and becoming a part of this community. Enjoy riding.
New member, new rider from Florida. New owner of a brand new Yamaha Blue 2020 R3 w/abs. Added a few mods already.... (TST integrated taillight, fender delete, adjustable license plate bracket, low profile LED license plate light, blue license plate hardware, Blue halo GTR flushmount turn signals, womtech shorty levers, womtech spools, techspec tank grips, Quadlock stem mount phone mount, blue Bar ends.) (T-Rex Racing no cut frame sliders, front and rear axle sliders, radiator guard). I'm still taking it easy through my break in but cant wait to be able to open it up. I named my Bike R2D2 because of the blue color I will be changing the matte grey to matte white with custom R2D2 decals. I am open to any suggestions or questions.

Your Blue R2D2 is clean. I purchased the Matte Black 2020 and waiting on Yamaha to deliver my bike to my dealer this week. I plan on similar mods as TST Industries offers a Toce Package with some discounts on the mods similar to yours. Do you plan on an exhaust upgrade?

Yeah gonna be throwing on a M4 street slayer slip on for now. And yeah TST literally has so much for the R3. Between TST, Trex racing, Revzilla, techspec, and sportbike track gear you can do so much stuff to make the R3 look mean. Installed crash protection today will post pics soon

Picked up my 2019 Matte Black R3 at the end of January. Second one I've owned. Purchased the same bike in July and after six days of owning it, someone broke the ignition pin/lock and insurance totaled it.
Now after only having my second for a month, someone decided to knock it over into my other motorcycle and the plastics are pretty banged up, will be looking to replace them soon.
Just wanted to register and say hello! Hope to post here more and contribute to the community. I am new to motorcycles, just got my endorsement last summer at 33 years old!
I've been having a blast riding, just wish I had a garage!
Hey Everyone!
Got my 2017 R3 two days ago. Been playing around on the streets of Capitol Hill in Seattle. Taking the motorcycle safety course this weekend and am so stoked to start riding and get the F out of the city.
Getting in to motorcycle riding as a woman can be intimidating but the riding community here in Seattle has been a welcoming one.
I’m so appreciative of having a dedicated community to R3s like this! Thank you guys for being here!
