Hello all, I’m Harry from Canada although I spend my winters in Florida. I had given up on 2 wheels, and actually traded my last bike on a CanAm Spyder. I’ve owned a couple of Spyders and maybe about 40 motorcycles. I should probably mention that I’m 83. Well, it turns out, not owning a bike left a huge void in my life, so in late October, I picked up a lightly used 2018 R3 (about 2300 kms, ~1500 miles). I took it for one brief spin before storing it for the winter, and I’m looking forward to next April/May when I can fire it up again.

Welcome to the Forum. There are a few of us elders on the Forum, but you may get the smiley-face sticker and go to the head of the line at 83.
Glad you've joined US. Ride Safe.

Reid here, new to this forum, new to 300ish cc motorcycles. I have been tracking various Ducati’s for the last 15 years or so, also have a tz125 that I look a bit ridiculous on (6’2” 235lbs). My kid just picked up a Ninja 250r and wants to go to the kart tracks. I had a NSR50 that I used to ride at the track a while back (roomier than my tz) but I think my next kart track bike will be a R3. Here to learn and maybe find a bike. Thanks! RC713

hello, I'm a new female rider of a 17 Yamaha r3. I live in Glendale az. I grew up riding dirt bikes but this is my first street bike. my 21 year old son was murdered and my bike was supposed to be my want and a way to clear my head, while my car was for my daily routine. my car broke down and now my bike is my only transportation. I joined the forum hoping to get advice and tips for keeping my bike moving. I'm riding for me and my son.

Whatsup everyone. I'm Nicholas, I picked up my 2020 R3 exactly ten months ago. Will share a pic of it later but it's Yamaha blue. Hadn't ever ridden a motorcycle before, but dove in headfirst and I don't think I'll ever be without a bike going forward. Bought with 2103 miles on the odo, should crest 8700 later today or tomorrow. I'm in Charlotte NC, only seen two other R3s around since I bought mine (one first gen, one second gen) but if anyone on here resides in the Carolinas, I'm always down to meet for a ride.

Hey guys, my name is Phil, I'm from Australia, age 44 and got myself a 2021 R3. Its my first ever bike and I am loving it. Its taken a while to use it but I am now in the swing of it and getting more confident. Will be going for my 'P's in a few months. Love the look of the R3 and it handles beautifully. Being a larger bloke (125 kg) I can see that eventually I may upgrade to move my fat arse a bit quicker, but for now it goes plenty fast and it still gives me a healthy level of fear to ride with care. Happy to be here and be part of the community.

Hey everyone! Name's Jason. I have never ridden a motorcycle before... I have been wanting one for many years. On a whim after work Friday, I stopped in to check out what they had for bikes and prices and ask general questions....ended up buying a 2020 R3 black with 800mi on it with the 1000 service already done on it. Bought gear that day and started teaching myself how to ride both yesterday and today. I have already registered and finished my online course for the endorsement, waiting for class next week. But I am ready! Would love to ride and get pointers, tips, and just generally have fun riding! Below is a picture of her on the sales floor before I bought her!
