Just bought the 2016 matte grey with red highlights R3 with ABS

:)

Was scary riding it for my first time in traffic lol i got cut off 3 times when i noticed idiot drivers not indicating lol.

Anyway i was just curious (even though im sure u have all heard this before)

What do you guys do before each time to you ride and after u finish riding.

I was thinking about getting a damp rag and just giving the bike a wipe down after use to keep it looking nice.

Bit confused with tire pressure because i think it may have different tyres i cant remember exactly but i think the dealer said goodyear? Street something?

Also said dont baby it but dont take it to red line just drive it normally for the break in period.

Cant wait to get back on it! Killing me being at work lol.
So what extra steps do you guys take to look after your bike

P.s i only own a helmet at the moment but will be getting more gear this weekend

*** actually i think my tires may be michilin
welcome! I bet your tires are the Michelin pilot streets from what I understand they are the same as the 2015 models, you can always double check on the side of the tire

before I ride my bike I check the oil window and coolant level after 500 kms of riding I like to clean and lube my chain or immediately after riding in wet conditions and I also like to check my tire pressure every second or third ride
Gratz. Nice bike.
*also

Does anyone know how to clean the matte grey fairings etcc

Congrats on the bike! Hopefully you get all your gear soon. Would hate for any more people to add to the stats.

You ride a bike. Leave the driving to the car guys lol.

Usually I turn the key and start the bike before I ride it. After the ride I usually ust turn it off and walk inside. Kidding aside, before a ride, a good rule of thumb is T-CLOCS : http://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/t-clocs_inspection_checklist.pdf . I dont always follow it on EVERY ride, but its a good guide that they taught us in the BRC.

I know you are going to want to clean the bike alot, it being new and all. I usually just use a wet rag to get rid of bug guts/dust/road grime once every 2 weeks or so. Sometimes even every month if I am lazy or if the bike is pretty clean.
