Hey Guys :)

I would like to know if the R3 ist completely the same like the R25, if yes, then there is a much bigger After-Market for Parts. Or? Because the R25 is a little bit older.

Where are you buying them from. I'm in the USA and don't know how to get r25 parts for r3. Thanks
Top end of the motor (cylinder, pistons and head/valves) is the only difference.

Everything else is the same......
I've done the majority of my shopping on eBay, but you can also Google search parts for the R25 online.
I know most appearance parts fit, but do performance parts fit? For example a slip-on? The R25 has a few slip-ons on the market, does anyone know if they will fit? Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering if the R25 pipes do any good to the R3, it's a slight difference in CC's but this can affect the behaviour of some exhaust pipes.

As far as I've been able to determine from online sources, the pipes for the R3 are identical to the ones for the R25. They're the same part numbers everywhere I've found them listed.

Awesome....so are you saying the colors are slightly different?
Anyone know where I can get the R25 clear signals or any stock R25 parts?

I believe the clear signals are the ones that come standard on all non-U.S. R3s.

They should be available to order from any Yamaha dealer in the U.K./EU, Australia or New Zealand.

Or you may be able to buy them from someone making their R3 into a race bike. Try PM'ing this Australian forum member through the USER CP (upper right on site page):

AUFITT in Western Australia

This eBay seller has aftermarket ones that look identical:

I really like how the clear shows the amber bulbs (just very picky on details) and since I live in HI we have to deal with inspections and all so want to stay as stock and subtle as possible. Thanks for the heads up with the user I will try to contact him.

Just a warning, our Aussie blinkers have a bigger sized connection pin then american ones, so expect to swap out the pins (metal connecters that plug into the bike) if you have the usa version (non abs). Image: http://imgur.com/6HbRmnQ
I'd be interested if anyone knows if the R25 heel guards (yes, I know... heel guards) would fit on a Canadian R3. Such a small irrelevant part, but to my eye one of the biggest eyesores on the bike - and yeah, it gives it a 'cheap' bike look. For those of us not replacing the stock rearsets, it'd be nice to get the milled out version.

(I've read all the posts relating to this, so I understand these bolts can be over-torqued and a total beyatch to remove, and that there's a plethora of carbon fiber gee-whiz go-fast bits n' bobs to replace these. I'd like to keep it as stock looking as possible though... just... a better version of 'stock looking')
