R3 handlebar replacements

Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone has replaced/changed their handlebars on their R3 yet? And if so any advice for brands, how it went etc. I love my R3 I just want to have lower handlebars as the stock ones are up pretty high. I've looked into replacements and so far I have found woodcraft Clip ons an dVortex clip ons, both would definitely lower the bar height. Has anyone tried/done this yet?

thanks!

Welcome. Stirz gave great info, and another one of our forum brethren jbluetooth has a blog called YamahaR3Racing.com. He did a blog post comparing clip-ons and gave how-to install instructions as well.

You can also look into reversing the position of the stock clip-ons. Its probably mentioned in one of the threads Stirz's quoted, but essentially you remove the stock clip ons and put them underneath the triple tree center plate, making them lower and bit more aggressive.

This video doesn't show you exactly how to do it but you can see kind of how it looks and he describes the process a bit.
