Husty,
Do you experience any buzzing coming through the seat starting at 9000RPM+? I had a test ride and in every gear (well, all the 5 I used ) there was very strong and annoying buzzing.
I rode Honda CBR300R on the weekend and even though it's a single, the vibration wasn't even close to R3.
