I did use up all the travel on the stock front forks, both at the track and in the twistys near my home. I weigh 180lbs, but with leathers and all I weigh in at 200. Under heavy braking the stock forks just squished. I upgraded to the Andreani fork kit, purchased from Jesse at yamahar3racing.com, our vendor here. Jesse had the springs installed for my weight, and now I have preload, rebound and compression. Now using the tie-wrap around the fork tube method, I adjust the fork to keep it from bottoming out.
The rear shock is a Penske, purchased from Jesse as well. No more bouncing in turns because of too little rebound.
