Reinstalling the passenger rear pegs

1591 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  Ravaloft
For some reason I thought it would be easier to take the peg off to plasti dip it rather than just leaving it on.

I tend to not think ahead when I do things, unfortunately. Problem is a spring popped out and I'm not sure how it was in there. If anyone can chime in, thanks!

I feel dumb for asking this, by the way.

One end of the spring should go against the bracket, the other end should go on top of or against the peg.
I actually figured it out.

There is a spring that goes into a hollowed outboard of the peg followed by a steel ball (that I didn't see fall out). That gets stacked on top of the plate and shoved back in place and held there by the bolt and secured with the cotter pin
