Hi, the rubber strap is held in its place by a hook. All you need to do is remove the buckle end of the strap off the hook. Shine a flashlight towards the tail side of the rubber strap and you'll see where to un-hook it from. Good luck

Nope, I'm still stuck trying to take off the battery terminal screws.Anyone know if there's a trick to removing the strap holding the battery in place? Or is there another way to remove the battery?
