Has anyone rev'd up to the rev limiter? At what RPM does it kick in?

Thanks,
Greg

I have hit it. It was probably a little over 13k. I was in a race so I really wasn't watching the tach.
Redline is only 12,500 and revlimiter is early in the redline at 12,750.
It drives me crazy hitting it twice a lap, going to go to a 42T or possibly 41T in an attempt to avoid it as it upsets the flow as its quite savage compared to the CBR250 one which would happily stutter all day on the limiter (10,800 for the Honda).
Dynos show it drop at 12,250 tach might not be accurate, they rarely are.

Yep - I seem to bounce off it in 4th more than anywhere else. Trying to decide whether to try and grab 5th then back to 4th in the second or so before the next turn is too much for my weak melon.

Same as me at a certain fast long uphill left,
coach told me I was swinging out too wide (he is on a 1000) on the entry,
Told me to tighten it up a bit so I did.
and had to be popping in 4th instead of being able to use 5th for that whole section (about 400 metres)

When a bike is cranked over the rear tyre is 80-90% diameter so the revs rise.
Will tell him next time that's why I do it as I only worked it out later in the day.
This is one advantage of the ninjas is there is that bit more overrun to play with.... but we have that teeny more midrange to make up for it.
I don't like changing gears in left handers even with race shift.

It looks like 12,400 rpm to me but it bounces! ;)
I bounced it off the top for my first time a couple days ago at 19XX miles. Felt it was ok to do it now.
