So far, all the reviews I have read or seen are positive. One thing that stands out in all the reviews, is quality of the bike being exceptional and silky smooth. No complaints of engine stalls, hesitations, missing or slipping out of gears, poor paint quality, cheap feeling components, etc.

I hope this is what we can expect from the long-term reviews as well.

The more reviews we have before we actually buy one, the better. I am always leery of journalists who write reviews since often they have a vested interest. The first user/owner reviews are going to be more important than anything from Yamaha or a journalist. Often journalists are wined and dined by the manufacturer so although they aren't getting paid for the review in many cases, they still would like to be invited back for another trip next model year. I mean you wouldn't really expect someone like Colin Edwards to say anything negative about the bike. With journalists you never know the connections they may have with the manufacturer. I agree everything seems very good so far though.

I think the bad that I have read was the back wheel slipping while riding hard and down shifting, which slipper clutch would of fix...Other than that minor criticism on abs option.
