Saitaniya Race Bodywork

So I ordered race bodywork for japan.webike.net a month ago and it finally arrived!
So I ordered these ones

and here are some pictures of it. You have to option to get it in black or white and it's clear coated like it's stock bodywork which is a touch touch.

The belly pan

You have the option to choose fasteners or fixated screw mounts like these

The inside

I got to say, it is well built

Here are some of the details about it I noticed.

It comes with mirror block off plates!!! That saves some money right there! You still need to use the stock rubber piece

I have 7 degree clipons and under the triple clamp so clearance was an issue with the stock fairings. These have the right amount of clearance. If it was 0 degree it would probably fit better.

This is at full turn

Some parts of the body still needs to use the thread clips from the stock fairings

The side fairings doesn't line up evenly but that's not an issue, just cosmetic

I like the tail section because it has a cover that you can take off without removing the whole thing to access things.

It does come with a race seat with a thin foam but if you use stock seat there will be a gap

As for the bellypan, i can't put it on yet because of a couple obstacles. The heat shield you have to remove, even the mount for it as well.

And then you run into the issue of the big catalytic converter. You would have to trim the belly pan or get headers for it to work.

OH I FORGOT TO MENTION, IT COMES WITH PICTURE INSTRUCTIONS! Although it's in Japanese the pictures are pretty straight forward. They provide the necessary screws if it isn't using your stock fairing screws/bolts

Nice bodywork you got there! Might have to order a set for myself if sharkskins or armor bodies does not offer something soon. It's weird that the side pieces are separate and not simply molded into the upper and lower. I like that the tail has a removable cover though.
Seems like a quality kit. Good job on the pictures and descriptions.
How much was shipping from Japan?
Loox nice, but no fender or tank cover?

I haven't heard of them in the process of making any.
I found it weird it was separate too but I think it makes it convenient when taking it apart or replacing it
If you do pick these up, keep in mind that you need to wait 1 month.
I think they actually make them to order so it takes a little while. I ordered it 4/21 and I received 5/26

With their website i think if you spend more than $400 or something, it's free shipping. I got these for $590 after paypal did the conversion so it was more than the posted conversion on their site.
So in terms of shipping it was super quick. 5/22 tracking says shipped out, 5/26 I received it. 4 days Japan to west coast of US, I got to say that is quick!

No they didn't provide it. Personally I never saw the need for another front fender. And the other body work I've ever seen I haven't seen it come with tank covers.
The picture they provide probably includes everything they offer. I know they sell fender too, I haven't seen the tank cover though
Update - thanks RKOM for turning me on to this source. You CAN get Saitaniya bodywork from them faster if you go through all the options and find a set they have in stock - as said, most aren't and take 4 weeks to ship according to webike.japan. I was able to find a different set than RKOM got (Type 2 I think) they did have in stock and it was delivered within a week of ordering. (ordered Thurs, shipped Sat, arrive Tues) Now to unpack the goodies!! I just wish I had figured this out a month ago! Tks again RKOM for making me happy in my pants.

Edit: I've mounted a number of sets of race plastics, and these have to be the easiest EVER - took maybe an hour to test fit. Quality is excellent. The only trimming I'll have to do is at the belly pan/exhaust interface - the exhaust just touches the upper edge of the belly at the back end - easy peasy. My set differs a little from RKOM in that there is a little less clearance for clip-ons, and I got the quarter-turn fastener option - other than that, same bits included. Looks like I'll need 1 or 1-1/2" rise to mount clip ons below upper triple. There are some cable/instrument cluster conflicts, but I think those can be worked through.

Did you have issues with the Arashi rearsets pulling the rear brake line too tight? I had to replace my rear line with a longer one, as my Arashis pulled the master cylinder forward, even at the rearmost position.

See the Arashi rearsets thread in "general discussion" on the R3 forum.
Great progress on your project mate, you did a nice job on the assembly. Thumbs up.
Curious as to the weight of these. Do you have any experience with Sharkskinz race fairings? I like how light and flexible they are. If you do have experience with Sharkskinz, how would you compare the two?

Unfortunately I don't have any experience but based on the the construction alone, I'd say Sharkskinz is sturdier than these. These are your basic fiberglass with a coat to keep it together so it is pretty brittle. I guess Sharkskinz reinforce their fiberglass. Weight wise I would say Sharkskinz will weigh slightly more due to the primer and other reinforcements but at this point, it probably is very minimal. Again this is just my opinion based on their construction
Are these the R25 fairings also? Sorry if it is a stupid question, I just didn't see if you mentioned if they were R3 specific.

It's not a stupid question. But yes it is for the R25 and everything fits except for the belly pan, I had to shave a 1/2 inch off where the cat was rubbing against it and I think the place to mount seemed to not line up so I ziptied some stuff. I'm not sure if it's a production flaw or an R25 specific
It's likely meant to be used on a bike with race pipes (no cat).

I did notice while browsing their website last night that in their descriptions they do specify whether it is compatible with the stock exhaust or race exhaust.
Maybe you accidentally bought the one for the race exhaust.
They updated their descriptions a week or two ago - before (When RKOM and I ordered), the descriptions were at best, vague. Again, I'm gonna throw this out there: Does anyone read Japanese? The mfgr site is here:http://saitaniyashop.cart.fc2.com/?ca=126

The prices are about 70% of japan.webike and you can get individual parts - but my browser does a terrible job translating. If they offer the same shipping deal as japan.webike, this is the way to go, IMO.

Maybe you can get specific part numbers from webike, then look up on Saitaniya's website. I haven't gone to their website yet, so I'm not sure.
The stock numbers are identical between japan.webike and saitaniya, so that was how I was able to make an apples to apples pricing comparison. That was as far as I got, though. - the mfgr site has more individual bits (not just complete sets) that don't show on the japan.webike site. Not planning to crash, but if I do I'd like to just get what I need rather than an entire set.
