I'm in Oceanside and Kojiiro is in Point Loma. Kojirro rides 94 and I ride in North county up to Palomar mtn. Probably do a ride next week.
As mentioned above, there are riders on this forum local to you. If you are looking for R3 specific riders, myself, SDR3 and a few have met up for a Palomar ride, and I have taken him on my regular 94 ride a while back. My old group isnt R3 specific, as I wasnt always on an R3.

To be honest, after my first track day last week, I have almost lost interest in the canyons. If you are seriously looking for a riding group, start an account on meetup.com, find and join the "San Diego Sportbike Meetup Group: http://www.meetup.com/sandiegosportbikemeetupgroup/

They host a few newbie rides and thats how I got to know a few of the local riders. Its a no commitment group. You log in, look at the calendar, RSVP and show up.

Another site to find rides is socalsportbikes.org, but meetup is more local. Some of the guys on that website head down to SD from as far as long beach to ride with us because, well San Diego and its riders are awesome lol.

I'm in San Diego also, but my bike is no longer street legal. I'm happy to get together and talk bikes, riding technique, parts, etc., watch moto GP, or bring you with me to the race track :)
Jbluetooth, Let me know when your headed to the track. I'd love to check it out!
Kojiiro, I've rode 94 as well. Love the ride. i'm down for any group ride... Not R3 specific ??

I meant you dont have to have an R3 to ride with me lol.
I am a new rider in North county. I think it would be nice to meet up and ride with other people.
I am also a new rider in North County San Diego, Carlsbad to be specific! I am down for a ride sometime!
Maybe we can organize something for one of the next couple weekends. 94 maybe?
If you guys want to stay I. The NC area then Palomar is one of the better rides. Just keep in mind it's not a forgiving ride if you are new to riding. Slower than the 94 but very technical. If you can go further south, the 94 is less technical, but then a pretty high speed ride compared to Palomar.
Does anyone want to ride up to Palomar Mountain this weekend? I can go Saturday after 2:30 or Sunday morning. Gregory Hoffman went with us last time when he first started riding. Greg was it fun? Or was it to much for a new rider?
SDR3 , I cant make it up north this weekend... Sorry man. Let me know if you guys loat and end up down south though. Lol
Not a problem, One day we'll get a bunch of R3's out on a ride. I'll probably stay up in North county this weekend. The wife and kids only let me out of the house to have fun for a few hours at a time.
Haha. My thoughts exactly. Hey where is the "start" point for the palomar ride?
I usually start at the Shell station on the west side of the 15 fwy at Via rancho pkwy Escondido. North county fair exit. Just past Rancho Bernardo by lake hodges off the 15 . From there you are in the curves within 5 minutes. 15 to 20 minutes north of the stadium off the 15 north.

Shell station
3480 Del Lago blvd Escondido Ca 92029

I can go after 2:30 on Saturday or after 9:00 on Sunday.

I posted the ride under R3 ownership meets and rides.

Its a fun ride, not high speed, not alot of traffic, but lots of great turns. Normally its a 3 to 4 hour ride round trip with stops, but we can make it shorter. Let me know if one of the days works.
