I was in the dealership for like the 20th time looking at this raven black they have ( should be mine by next week).
I noticed when i touched the seat it moved around a little bit , the part towards the tank.
I know nothing about motorcycles, this could be just how they are so you can easily remove them, but now that I'm closer to taking this thing home I was checking every little detail out and being ...anal for lack of a better word lol.
I really can't wait to get it and join you guys , will be my first motorcycle ever. Taking MSF course this weekend as well.

Welcome! Where are you located?
Good luck on the course it's a lot more than just test(the test was done within learning of first hour), but rather learning different skills and practice

No worries. The rider seat is held in place by two bolts at the rear. The holes the bolts go through are larger than the bolts.

When installing the seat you just push the seat forward as far as it will go, tighten the two bolts and , voila', no more movement of the seat!

your getting into too much detail just buy the **** thing and go ride!!
I'm picky, OCD and all that good stuff but it took me 10 minutes after the first time I saw or heard of a R3 at the dealer. Not disappointed at all.
Thanks guys, I'm from NH, right on the border of MA.
Friends/Family are telling me to wait till next year because winter is almost here...but I don't think I can do it. I'll post again after the course, and hopefully get the bike next week
