"Studies show that inappropriate usage of turn signals is one of the main reasons for accidents in the motorcycle world" - not sure about that, but it seems like the data acquisition could be logged and used for lots of other fun stuff...

I can't see the necessity for this particularly. I use my signals ALOT and it's just instinct to flick them off when I've completed my manoeuvre as much as it is to move to the right when taking a right hand corner or to change gear.
