Someone Damaged My R3

So upset right now. Need to vent.

I Park on campus in designated parking for motorcycles, it gets pretty crowed but enough to get your bike in and out. Today I find that somebody most likely dropped their motorcycle on to mine. My right turn signal is completely bent, my vagabond frame slider.. Bent downwards about 20 degrees or more. The large white fairing is all scratched up and I am pretty sure my passenger foot peg is also bent. They left no note.. Only some of their paint on my bike. Not 3 months ago somebody put a basketball sized dent into my car and left no note as well. I hate people.

Good excuse to get new turn signals I guess.. Anyone selling their white faring?

Wow. That's horrible and very ungentlemanly. Sorry it happened to you. Let your post heed warning to anyone thinking of walking away and, may it remind caring folks to continue to do what's right.

Yes....time to splurge.

Randy
Did you check to see if there are any security cameras covering that spot?
The human race can be total dog sh*t sometimes. That sucks man.
Time to make yourself feel better with some new bike parts!
Sorry to hear that, your bike isn't even 2 months old... :crying:

Some of my riding friends say I'm paranoid but this is the kind of **** I don't want happening to my bike. Nearly 2 years old, it has never been touched by any dealership after getting it, I do all maintenance work. Even the recall on it (there was a battery bracket recall), I did myself (have a buddy who works for Yamaha who got me the parts).

I ride for leisure, so I plan everything out where when I go somewhere, if I have to park, I have it in my sight at all times such as going to get coffee. I never use my bike to go shopping unless I go with another rider in which I stay outside in the parking lot.

I know in your case you can't help it since you are commuting on it. But my faith in humanity is so **** low, there is no way I'm going to park any of my bikes unattended and out of sight because I'm all too familiar with this kind of **** going down.

If my bike ever gets damaged, I will have to be on it riding when it gets damaged.

Anyway, I digress. Sorry to hear it. Luckily if its just one fairing part, should be cheap. Replacing the orange pumpkins is more a gift than anything. Sucks about the frame slider. Overall, not too much expense to fix the damages. At least your bike didn't fall over causing damage on the other side as well.

If all you're going to do here is complain about having the same topics posted over and over on a beginner's motorcycle/LAMS bike forum, congrats, you've made my ignore list!
Your signature is why I stopped going to the Subaru forums.
Thanks everyone. I do not believe there are any security cameras in the area. I will be looking at all the bikes and seeing if they have some of my paint on theirs. It was something blue?(blue paint on my bike).. and heavy because it bent my frame slider and foot peg which are both pretty hefty. I am just disappointed, I want justice and I will not receive any but that is life sometimes I guess.
Just shows there are plenty of people riding bikes who are **** heads

ME TOO! Same exact thing. I never leave my bikes anywhere that I can't SEE them at all times! Nobody works on my bikes but ME.

Tempting.. How much just for the large white panel that says R3?

What do you do when you go the store? Use the friction zone through the aisles?

Sorry to hear about your misfortune OP. Unfortunately, this type of $hit is standard these days. Morals? They went out the window long ago. Humans are devolving. Not just my opinion either - this was proposed in a paper a few years back, very interesting read.

1. - I use my CAR.

2. - TRUTH. There is an active agenda to keep peasants stupid. And it's working like a charm! These days, the peasants faces are stuck staring at a cell-phone screen all day. TV is programmed propaganda. Schools are taxpayer-sponsored babysitting services. The wealthy elites control it all. The peasants are slave-labor. And that's the way it will be... until the peasants organize and revolt against their captors. You cannot politely "ask" a criminal to stop being a criminal. That simply does not work. "Change" will only come via organized force. As long as the peasants remain brainwashed and under their masters control... it's "business as usual".

pilot, I agree, indeed it is a plutocracy.

However, in my earlier post, I was referring to the array of genes responsible for giving us (humans) our superior (to the rest of life) intellectual/emotional abilities. It's hypothesized that, because there is less selective pressure to keep these genes around (modern environments/agriculture/urbanization), and because these genes are susceptible to mutations, our intellectual/emotional abilities are literally diminishing. I wonder if this is why the human brain is physically shrinking... Interesting stuff.

Anyway, don't want to derail more than I already have. Sorry OP.

Edit: Stop caging, dude. You're CBRpilot. Ride that liter bike through the aisles.

Instead of new fairings you could vinyl wrap the white part. That's what I did after low siding at the track. Not sure if your stand still tip over scratched as much or as deep as my low side, but I doubt t did. My vinyl wrap was undetectable unless you touched it and felt the rough underparts.

NO. I do not leave my bikes in a parking lot, so idiots can knock it over then run away like the sissies they are!
Accidents happen, but I hate that they didn't leave their info for you. I leave my bike in the lot all day at work, so I'm willing to accept some risk. However, college lots are another story. Vehicles just get abused there.

As mentioned above, make lemonade. Get on with the farkling!
