So I have not great news, I am not buying a R3. I watched the 250 races last time I was at the track and thought about if I really wanted to race the R3. But I really missed the R6, and thought about buying that. Needless to say, I got an R6 Saturday. So, I need to know if anyone is planning on racing the R3, and not planning to use their street platics, send me a pm, I will have a deal for you.

I plan on test riding the R3 if I can later to see what I think about the bike. But I am happy with my purchase, still trying ti finish the break in but weather is pretty dismal right now

lol I might still be working with one, if my buddy from the dealership gets one. We will see. I still have a deal for anyone who is solely planning to race theirs.

Breaking the R6 in still, almost to 300 miles, 300 to go. Going to go ride Ortega today I think, so that should be fun.

Great!
How set is he on getting one? has he taken any action on getting one as yet?

Are you going to be modifying the 600?
He is between the R1 and the R3. I think he will get the R3 personally, so we will see.

As far as the R6, I am going to race SuperStock, so mods will be simple:

Full exhaust, Yoshimura since I am sponsored by them.
Maybe a Bazzaz module with shift assist and TC if I can swing it
Custom dyno tune.
Steel braided lines, after market pads
Hot Bodies race bodywork
Bridgestone slicks
some kind of suspension internals, stock outers

That is really it maybe other than gearing. This makes it more about ability than power.

Jokingly, I told my wife I still need to buy a R3, for my boy who is turning 6. She said ok, then asked if she could ride it, I said sure. I might get one boys! :D

Well, I'll be sad if you don't, I was looking forward to your input on race stuff with the R3, but I also have an R6 race bike so I totally understand LOL!!! I also run Bazzaz and just got Bazzaz support for the R3, they're going to use my bike to build the Zfi system so it will be available right away.

Congrats on the R6, had Yoshimura as last years sponsor on my previous ride, great exhaust for my zx10r, just had clearance issues while leaned over. Switched up to Arrow this year, waiting on them to do an official release for the R3 as well now.
