Been riding fine but yesterday the starter was buzzing and I let it sit until the battery died. I let the battery tender fully and when I make any connections to the battery (without the key inserted and the kill switch on) the bike will try to start. If I hit the switch to on the bike will start fully, but when turning it off the starter will keep running. The only way to turn it off is by unplugging the battery. This is a recent issue and didn't ride at all with the issue before. I have no mods except tst relay and lights.

First I would check the starter switch for failure. Wait, but this happens with the key out. Yeah time to break out the multimeter, and start hunting for a frayed wire.

update: replaced starter switch-no difference
replaced solenoid-won't start, no spark
switched to old solenoid and it will spark again
time to hunt for a wire, any ideas?

Multimeter and trace back from where it's hot at the starter, it's getting power from somewhere it shouldn't. Also from the starter relay. Yeah, is the relay hot?
