Technical Difficulties...

Hey y'all! So I'll keep this short because I tend to ramble... but I have a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition, and I bought this mic ( http://amzn.com/B011EXBCMQ ) as well as the mini USB --> 3.5mm adapter.

I tested the microphone on my iPhone 5 and it picks up sound, but it does not pick up sound on my GoPro. I tried to record my first motovlog today, and was completely flabbergasted when I uploaded the video and there was no sound at all.

Any troubleshooting tips to my R3 vloggers out there? Could you recommend me a tried and true microphone for a broke homie?

You may have to pick one that is GoPro specific or atleast GoPro compatible. Unsure why that one wouldn't, it's basically two contacts for mono or three for stereo, don't know why yours has four. Might be the adapter also. It works just fine and came with the skeleton case so I didn't have to drill. And the price was right for my budget. One note: make sure you are pushing in the plug firmly.
