I called my dealer ship here in Texas yesterday and told me that they didn't have an exact shipping date but it could get here at any time from now

Getting the same story at Freedom Powersports in Lewisville TX, They've been saying "should be next week" since February.


Now that we are well into April I think it should arrive soon. Hopefully.

I know guys further north are eager to get theirs as they only have x amount of time for ideal riding conditions before they have to park up for months

My dealership in Marietta, Georgia has been telling me "in a few weeks" since February. The latest update was last week with "sometime in April we are getting a HUGE Yamaha shipment that includes the R3 bikes". I won't be surprised if its mid May before the bike actually arrives. At least the pollen will be gone by then...

That's great news Frank! I stopped in my dealership in Lewisville TX yesterday. The salesman informed me that funds have been transferred. That means they are on the way to a local warehouse. Next step is when the local warehouse sends a bill of lading that means its in route to the dealer and just hours away.


I'm hoping to get the call this weekend, next week at the latest. Only had my deposit down since February.

It's weird. I bought my R3 in Selma which is South of the local dealer here in New Braunfels which seems weird since I think the truck came from Canada. Who knows how they dole out these R3s?

Just got the call the R3 finally has arrived in Houston...but only in red . Got my deposit on a blue since Feb. Hopefully this weekend my dealer says, they ordered 4 cant wait.

Both are very good choices, wouldn't be all too surprised if you end up changing your mind over your original color choice.

They have finally arrived in Dallas. Stopped at Freedon Powersports in Lewisville and they had a red one but it's already spoken for. They claim to have another in the crate that will be mine next week. Basically all of their first shipment has deposits on them but its good to finally see one in person. Even if I didn't take one home today.

Just heard from Yamaha dealer in Lubbock that my bike and 2 more should be in within the week,

Picked up a red one at Freedom Powersports in Lewisville. They had another red one that supposedly was sold but its been in the showroom since Saturday.


They also had a blue one with a Yoshimura slip on installed. Don't know if that one is available or if it has a deposit on it.


Some may have been on pre-order before me but I was the first on to show up and get the deal done. I rode off on the first R3 to leave that dealership. Traded in a FZ09 straight across for it.

Congrats on everybody that already got their r3 , I finally picked up my black r3 and they also had a yoshi slip on for 300 dollars , I bailed cuz it was all chrome /not my style

Good call, never liked how chrome looked on these or any high polished look, for me its almost always something subtle that blends in with the bike rather than sticks out.
