After the Ebay brake/clutch lever discussion was beaten hard by a sack of potatoes, I'm curious to know who has purchased Ebay clip ons! Thoughts and opinions about that purchase? I've been looking around to see what I would be interested in, and haven't ruled those suckers out.

I've purchased some items from eBay and China so I definitely am not opposed to it. Just know that items from there typically are more prone to failure due to the known issue of not so great QC.

I like how he still maintains his composure and raises his hand lol.

If it is critical to my safety (brakes, levers, clip ons, rearsets, tires), I buy name brand. Cosmetic parts I don't mind taking a cheap option on. Leds, tank pads, belly pan, etc.

Just my .02

I have used eBay clipons on other bikes with no issue and would definitely use them again.
You really shouldn't be putting much pressure through the bars so even if the quality control is poor you should be able to safely use them.
