Trying to get ready for a road tripp in EU..

Hello every one..

We are planning a 10day tripp in late may - from Denmark and just down south..
Black Forrest in Germany, Hills in Austria and Italy. and who knows what else we come across down there.

I am not sure just what to do regarding my bike and the full Akrapovic system i have on it now, from what i read Germany is Strict regarding this topic.

So my options are to put the stock system on and have it mapped back.
put the full system back on when we get back to Denmark. And mapped back once more. That alone will cost a pretty penny here in the Capital of Tax haha
Or go for a more solid solution, Bye a Slip on or a power commander and have maps for full system and stock.?

Any input on this are most welcome..

Development in this story ...

From May 1st` i will start to work in Poland and was planning on taking my bike down there
So i will have 890km to Work and will be taking this trip once every month
Any Hints, tip and trix will be appreciated.

I will not be going alone down there so will be playing catch up to some company Car carrying all the luggage.
As the thread stats "Road trip in the EU." will be starting that trip from Szczecinek in Poland, hook up with my m8´s in Berlin and go south from there.
i have bought Givi Tank and tail soft bags (45L. Space in all) and perhaps my small backpack for the lunch box.
also bought Interphone fm5 so i can have hand free call´s on the road and my Testio Live blasting wireless.

Advice on the rear shock setting at 90-110kg. Plz?

Bedst Regards from this cooold place :)

Sounds like an adventure!

6 (at 90-100kg) or 7 (at 110kg) on the rear shock should do it.
Sounds like fun!!

I would keep the exhaust set-up you have now, but that's me. My thinking is that you probably won't draw much, if any attention on the R3 - it's not like you're running straight pipes on a Harley (which I have seen often in Germany, but it's been a few years). As far as shock preload, maybe go to "4" (1 being least preload) and see how it feels - adjust from there.
Regarding the Pipe..
My dealer gave me a Metal pot-sponge to put in there that should kill the worst DB
so i will try and roll with that a few weeks before going down there...
And Ty for the Input :)
Oh and the rear shock .. any thing to loosen or can i just turn the ring with my Hook-Tool?

Turn with hook tool, using the slip-on extension piece that's in the kit, too.

Works best from right side of bike, IME

I'm 104kgs in full gear and I've tried all the settings. 6 works best for me...Experiment.

So my Adventure had come to a Pause and i´m back in Denmark for a month
Will go back to Poland for more work in September..
What a trip.. Germany, Poland, Austria, Italy and back..
small 6000km on this blue bike of mine, What a Joy!!
And Stirz was so Right.. No one cared for my racing pipe haha..
