So for specs it makes around 40whp on 93 octane. It also has an increased rev limiter to 13k rpms. It’s it’s tuned for a tst open air box cover, mwr air filter either the street one or race, a AIS block off plate, tst velocity stacks, a Yoshimura alpha t exhaust, and the tune of course. I run it with a different after market exhaust and it runs great, I also use the street filter witch makes less power but have still gotten good preformace out of it. before the mods It hit a top speed of 111mph and now I got it to 121mph. As far as what you need to run wih it I would go with the tst open air box, velocity stacks, and mwr filter because they are still the best on the market. As far as the exhaust you can use any cat-less or free flowing exhaust. Overall it’s super universal for the exhaust and I see people run multiple different ones. Hopefully that answered your questions. Let me know if you have any more. What were the exact specs and factors the ECU was tuned for (which aftermarket exhaust, removal of emissions, air box mods, what octane fuel, etc)?
Hmm, I could be the sprocket you are running and how much you weight. I run stock 520 and weigh 130lb. So that could be it.Thanks for the details, it was more for the benefit of anyone interested...definitely vouch for any sort of tune, really livens up the R3 (I went the Norton Racing route). But ****, 111 to 121mph top speed? With my track setup I can barely get to 100 on the straights, wonder if I've got drag somewhere (bearings, etc...)
I have got 110mph on Thunderbolt NJMP, stock tuneThanks for the details, it was more for the benefit of anyone interested...definitely vouch for any sort of tune, really livens up the R3 (I went the Norton Racing route). Cool, I just sent you a message back.Sent you a message.
Ha, that might be it.... stock 520 but I weigh 173lb before gear.Hmm, I could be the sprocket you are running and how much you weight. I run stock 520 and weigh 130lb. So that could be it.
How much do you weigh if it's for me to ask? Looking to see if I can sort something somewhere...I have got 110mph on Thunderbolt NJMP, stock tune
I weight around 130lb give or take a little. LolHow much do you weigh if it's for me to ask? Looking to see if I can sort something somewhere...
Yea, rider weight makes a big difference.I think rider weight is the difference here.... I'm 205-210# without gear, and have a very similar set-up R3. My best track speed was 109 (indicated/not verified). My guess is that the difference of 90-100# in rider weight, would easily net you 10 mph+ (on stock/standard gearing). I have the 2WDW ECU flash, and everything else is pretty much equal as far as intake/exhaust-
The part number or sku number is TUNE-1000. They are currently out of stock of them on there website. This is the link to the ecu on there website TST WORX | ECU Tune for Yamaha YZF-R3 / MT-03. If the doesn’t work than just type tst r3 tune and it should be the first one. Let me know if you have any more questions.which part no. was it?
Hi, so my ecu was as well B02-H591A-10, I have abs on my r3. So if you have abs as well you should be fine. They are identically the same engine so i believe they would work just fine. When I look on tst website it they say that tune fits 2015-2021 r3 and 2020-2021 mt03. So I would mabey call tst to just double check but the reality of it is it work on any r3 or mt03 with abs because they both share the same ecu numbers and same engines. And if it works on previous gen r3 it would work on previous gen mt03 as well. I hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions.I have B02-H591A-10 as oem number on my MT03 2017 will it fit?
