Will the 5W40 4T fully syn. last longer than the 10w40 4T semi syn?

I was thinking to extend my interval to 5000mls instead of the 3000mls

My understanding is that group 5 synthetic oils lube better than group 4 synthetics, but don't last as long. Read up at bobistheoilguy.com

I change every 3000mls at the moment.
