Hi All,

Thought I would join up so that I can start getting more up to date information on the, what seems to be, magnificent R3.

I have always been a motorbike fan but until recently never made the step into ownership.
My favorite bike was always the Yamaha R6, indeed I once owned R6.com!
However, all the super sexy sports bikes turn my head.

The R3 looks like 'proper' sports bike but likely to be a lot safer in my hands.

I have already spoken to my Local Yamaha dealer about the deposit but I dont think I will be looking to get one until the Spring - which is likely the launch date in the UK anyway

Currently riding my cycles the most but get out every other day on my new PCX.

Yea it seems there isn't much info for the UK right now. It does seem like it shouldn't be a crazy long wait though.

I would never Mod a bike except in two areas:

The exhaust.. why not make it sound better! Plus, drviers are just slightly more likely to hear you coming so it has positive safety connotations.

The tyres... real world difference when you are pushing it.

My PCX is completely stock, not had it long. Its relatively slow but somehow great fun..VERY practical, especially when I added the back box which mys sons and wife like as they feel more secure on the back.
