Wrecked it :(

It wasn't today, but about a month ago I wrecked my R3:crying:: I had an wild turkey dart out in front of me from the bushes while on the highway (I live in the middle of nowhere, theres lots of turkeys, yeah no $hit.) Anyway got my new R3 now and am finally feeling almost 100% from the wreck. Round 2 on the R3 I guess.

I might mount a pitchfork to help with future turkey hunting or perhaps a crossbow? (joking!) This new one at least came better tuned than the first one ;)

Rubber side down all

I had a turkey fly out in front of me one time, far enough away not to cause an accident but close enough to make me think about it for a few miles! Here in Pennsylvania deer are one of the biggest hazards. That, and teenagers on cell phones.
Hey man, glad your ok.

Hey man, glad your ok.
Also glad you weren't hurt too badly, especially considering how wrecked your bike looks.

Biggest problem here is Moms In Mini-vans, trying to deal with manic kids in the back seat AND talking or texting on cellphones at the same time. I see them literally every day drifting all over, and out of, their lanes into oncoming traffic.

My best friend was killed by one who drifted over double yellow lines of an undivided 4 lane highway at 60mph 8 years ago.

A friend's wife hit a flying turkey. Broke her windshield but she didn't go down because she was on a heavy Honda ST1300 and only going about 40 mph at the time and in a straight line. Lucky...
holy crap, glad you're okay, bike looks bad
Man, that is the worst.

Had a dog dart out across me. A squirrel. And almost had a bird strike, maybe less than a foot- if I was going any faster I would've hit it. The adrenaline and everything. Ugh.
Hope you get better, I went down in some dirt a few days ago and made it out ok with just some scratches on both.
Wow, you obviously faired much better than your poor R3. Ive been lucky with animals, although I did have to fight a Pelican off my lap once. Collected him in my chest, managed to keep upright and straight while its flapping and carrying on whilst putting a few scratches on the tank.
Lot's of deer and turkeys up here as well.
I head a deer head-butt me off of my Triumph Daytona 675R 7 weeks ago. Still recovering from broken bones.

Pity about your new bike. Get well soon.
