An older model has popped up for sale on facebook for 260 bucks and I'm drooling over it

does any racer use this setup or has used one of these in the past? My only worry is installing it and getting the tachometer and gear indicator to work properly on it. Looks like a supperrrr trick lap timer though!

I have one. I love it for data acquisition. It is a bit difficult to initially hook it up though. At least for the more in depth things like gear position. RPM is just one wire I believe. I have not hooked it up to my R3 yet. It was on my SV though. I was monitoring TPS, water temp, oil pressure, brake pressure, and RPM.

If you are looking at buying it make sure it has the break out box. Either 4 or 8 outlet.

Lap timing is very accurate. When comparing it to my transponder lap times it might be .001 or so difference between the two. You can also set sectors so you can see what your optimal lap time around a track would be.

thinking about tapping:

cable A red wire into the red wire going into the meter assembly (#40)
cable A black wire into the B/W wire coming out of meter assembly (#40)
Cable A green wire tapped into Y/L wire going from meter assembly (#40) into ecu (#30) for RPM
Cable A brown wire tapped into Y wire going from throttle position sensor into ecu (#30)
cable A yellow wire tapped into b/L wire going from ecu (#30) to coolant temp sensor (#38)

I don't need cable B if i go with the above set up
