Its been confirmed that the R25 will be getting ABS for 2015, likely early in the year. However we should be seeing R3 with standard ABS in Europe, and at least an option in NA.

But Remember this number (1800-2000 units per month) only version satndarnya (Non ABS) only while the series Sport bro its 250 cc Yamaha Indonesia mnimal there will be 2 more later fore the R25 version of ABS which allegedly will attend the end of 2014 / early 2015 and Streetbike / nakedbike 250 cc (can be MT25) around mid-2015 (a year from now). . . regards TPT

Either way, I would want the ABS version. I don't see why ABS isn't mandatory in North America as well. It just seems like the most safe thing to do .

Seems like more and more places are going to be making it a requirement though. Why should it be an option? Just so that people don't have to spend extra on it, or because people actually don't want it. I just think that if the ABS is going to save some lives then it probably should be mandatory everywhere.

More and more governments are going to be passing regulations around this so likely a bike maker making it standard is going to be because of a regulation
