Okay, it's not a R3, but the little brother of the R3, the R1, recently went head to head with a pheasant. As you can see from the picture above, its wasn't a very fair fight. The R1 won handily.

I guess this actually worked out to be pretty lucky for the rider. As AutoEvolution writes:

But birds fly, and if one happens to hit the rider or the bike from one side, the outcome may be disastrous. And the weight of a pheasant makes things even worse. We know of riders who almost crashed when a sparrow hit them right in the helmet, or they clipped other small birds with their windscreen.

Don't let the number designation fool you. That isn't the R3's little brother. Its the R3's supreme ruler. I don't know if father or grandfather is the right word. Supreme ruler sounds about right. Its the top of the line Yamaha.

The R125 would be the little brother of the R3.
