Okay, it's not a R3, but the little brother of the R3, the R1, recently went head to head with a pheasant. As you can see from the picture above, its wasn't a very fair fight. The R1 won handily.
I guess this actually worked out to be pretty lucky for the rider. As AutoEvolution writes:

But birds fly, and if one happens to hit the rider or the bike from one side, the outcome may be disastrous. And the weight of a pheasant makes things even worse. We know of riders who almost crashed when a sparrow hit them right in the helmet, or they clipped other small birds with their windscreen.
