Talk about putting lipstick on a pig!

I'm not saying the R3 is ugly. Just that it makes no sense to me to "rice up" a cheap motorcycle. Some of those bikes have more $ in accessories than the bike cost itself!

That said, I think in some countries there are displacement limits or really high taxes, so smaller bikes are all that is available.

I guess if I had to have only one small bike I would trick it out.

Yep, most Asian countries have VERY high taxes on bikes over 250cc

So true! In some parts of the world you really have to have some $$$$$ to tool around on a R1.
