Just finally got it after back ordered for two months. Much cheaper(89 from stg vs 120ish from zero gravity directly). I will install it tomorrow and see if I can get a ride on. Otherwise I can do some on Monday with highway riding

I've been waiting to see this windscreen on someone's bike! Would you be able to take side by side pictures as well? I want to see how much taller this one compared to stock.
It's really dark now that I can only take a pic with phone's crappy flash
Did a short run to get gas and felt nothing around 40s on my head(which I did previously on stock).
I will be running on freeway speed tomorrow and report the differences (which I had to duck or get buffet like crazy on my head)

Any chance on the update on the windscreen? If there's any front pics? In the photoshop pictures on the site makes this screen look super tall.

The installation takes about an hour. I've never taken the cowling/fairing off so it took a little more time, anyone little more experiences should be able to get it done within an hour

It's been raining past 2days that I could not take a picture in the front. It stopped raining this evening I should able to get some pictures tomorrow when I head out
The screen does look pretty tall it's like 2-3 inches higher than the stock one

Past 2days I've been riding with it on different position and noticed couple difference:
I can duck with my whole head not getting any wind compared to stock screen that's only upto half of my helmet(the screen did not reach my eye level with stock)
There's noticable reduction in wind while sitting upright on freeway speed on my head. I still get wind on my shoulder. My head feels like completely emptied out with even moving my head a little off center. But definitely less tiring to fight the wind for 25 mins freeway ride. I do still feel it off my shoulder/chest though

With my height I may gain a little more benefit with plugging the hole inbetween(5'5"), I will do a little experiment by xmas with some day off

Just as a note: You don't have to remove the cowling to change out the wind screen. I've done it 4 times (testing different screens for looks, height and protection) using the following method. Takes about 10-12 minutes.

There are lots of older posts about installing various parts & accessories on the R3 on the Forum already. A search with 'installed', 'installing', 'install', etc. should bring them up.

just got a chance to take a picture in the front before it gets dark(it's gloomy all day anyway)

after using it for a few days I almost stopped tugging myself on freeway for ride comfort. I'd definitely go for it again if I have to get one to replace. However I'd probably pick the clear screen so that I can see better when tugged in(more smoked out than the stock one even with light smoke)

I wonder if the Double Bubble would be just as high for this bike and a little wider to get the wind around your shoulders better since it has wings on the sides.
.
PS. Have you tried using a tall tank bag such as the Cortech 2.0 18L to lean down on when you want to get out of the wind and weather?

I'm sure you meant to write "tucking myself' and "tucked in"....

"Tugging myself" has another WHOLE DIFFERENT MEANING.

There are some other with double bubble but reported almost the same height compared to the stock(just different shape). It really offers very small difference on height and maybe better on the shoulder since it's wider?
But I am very small on body frame and still hitting my shoulder that the extra width wouldn't make much difference(I'm 5'5", XS body frame with clothes/lab coat)

Don't really have a tank bag but wearing a rain jacket to block out the cold that helps with the wind/rain. I just noticed there's wind but not really pushing back(not feeling as much compared to the head got pushed back I guess, don't have the inner ear cochlea to detect movement)

I know the Double Bubble for other bike models is usually not much taller than stock but for the R3, Zero Gravity shows in the comparison photo that it is only 1/4 inch lower than the Sport Touring screen but looks to be much wider.

Has anyone else purchased one of these or another aftermarket screen? I like the idea of the Double Bubble or Corsa for a little extra width and height vs. the Stock one and wanted to get some impressions from others.
I put a ZG Corsa light-smoke screen on my CBR1000RR. I really like it.
I will probably just leave the stock screen on the R3. I'm pretty happy with the stock one.

Powerbronze double bubble, works for me.With the stock screen the wind blast was directed just under my chin which blew a wasp up inside my helmet(crash stop rip off lid and throw it haha)The new screen now directs air near the top of my helmet, mucho improvement no more wasps.
I went with the DB. It's much taller than the stock windshield. I would say the wind still hits the top of my head but the wind noise is less for me. I'm 5'9".

Thanks! How do you like the dark tint vs. stock clear? I'm torn between a dark one and a lighter one, can't decide.
You want be able to see through the dark tint, I don't tuck much and so I chose the one that would look better. If you're wanting to see through the screen I would get the light smoke or clear.

Hmm, i original thought i'd go with the double bubble, but after seeing both, i'm leaning towards the clear touring screen now.

Got the clear Zero Gravity touring. Had to open up the ZG mount holes with a rotary tool (aka dremel) because my 4 rubberized mounts wouldn't fit through properly. Install is crazy, what was Yamaha thinking with that windshield mount design. I measured about 2-3/8" taller than stock. That's a Cortech tail bag hiding in the back and mirror extenders in the front.
