The red and white looks very nice on Raven! (happy face emoticon). I'd probably have those stickers off-centered and bubbled during installation (unhappy-face emoticon).

 

I've always been partial to black and yellow so that color scheme is my fav.

 

Fuggin awesome!! Love the classic Yamaha yellow and black... But I got a blue one. LOVE the blue wheels

 

I love the blue wheels, too.

I also like the look of the old Yamaha RZ350s. I owned one way back when they were current models.

Maybe you could try some graduated, tapered rim tape like this on mine...

On a side note, one of the rims is goin' yellow (to match some of the fairings)...

 

I like the classic Yamaha racing stripe look; when you (FangShui) posted about removing the front fender "Yamaha" lettering on your bike, I looked at mine and noticed the first "a" in Yamaha was stuck on crooked!--like a ransom note.

 

Mine wasn't on straight either and it just didn't look right. Maybe if they had made it fit the curve of the fender....

 

Sort of a retro look to those. I suppose if you want to make your new R3 look like an RD350 or an older F1 that would be one way to do it.

 

I'd have bought a Kenny Roberts edition in a heartbeat! I was try to find the signature decal for my R3 if anyone has a source where you don't have to buy the whole RZ decal kit.

 

I'm partial to the black and yellow as well..obviously, but I had bought a blue r3 for the wheels.

That's what I was going to say! You could buy whole fairings for not much more than $331.

 

That $16.16 is only for a pair of the smallest decals. To get the whole set you have to go click on the "Please select the type" box, then select "Complete Decal (Full Set)".

It's $231.00 there, plus shipping. That's competitive with kits from one of the main decal kit suppliers, Factory Effex, which sells its kits for $249.95.

It is neither edition, I just googled r25 special edition & it came right up. It's blue, white & black.
The other 2 are nice, but I like this one much better.

That's an official Yamaha model, so the decals would only be available through Yamaha or a Yamaha Dealer or OEM Yamaha parts supplier, at least for now.

Probably never be available in the U.S., have to get them from a country that sells the R25.

Since the model is so new they would probably only be available as a pre-order and may take several months before they're actually available to ship out.

Eventually they may show up on eBay or at Webike in Japan.

Wouldn't be bad if you could leave off all the sponsor decals and writing, and especially that seriously tacky, no-class 69.

Only guys with Mullets put 69 on their bikes....

 

That's not to bad, but that 69 I would definitely cover up with a carbon fiber decal or something to just black it out.

Nicky actually inherited 69 from his dad, who apparently spent quite a bit of time in the gravel traps. He chose that number so it could still be easily read even when he was upside down. Lol. True story.

 

LOL. I guess that "upside down" works equally well for the other interpretation of the number.

Does anyone know the length of the YAMAHA decal on the side fairing? Specifically, I'm looking for the size of the red one on the raven bike if they're different, but I'm sure others will find this and request sizes of others, if someone happens to be a guru (Fang! lol) and know them all!
