I bought a knock-off brand via AliExpress and I must say for $78, they're fantastic. I suggest everyone get then a set.

Bought some for my 2021 MT09 interestingly enough the product code on the sticker is exactly the same on the parts I have. What I do wonder is if the insides of the covers will melt if they're not potentially made of the same type of plastic.

I'll never understand this.... If you take the initiative to seek out crash protection, why would you go to AliExpress???? With all of the costs associated with racing/track-days/tires/etc., this seems like a case of tripping over the $10's & $20's to pick up a dime??? You will spend a minimum of $200 on a track day. If you are unfortunate to crash on the first session, and grind through the "knock-off" crash protection, and grind your case covers (leaking oil)- your $200 track-day is over, because you bought a "bargain" case saver.... I've found that you generally get what you pay for in crash protection, as well as most other track oriented parts. Please don't take this wrong- I don't post this as a dig/rip, but rather trying to help others learn from my past mistakes -

I was unaware there were so many different ways to make something so simple. its used a consumable. The bike is worth like 3500 at this point. not going to lose sleep over spending less for the same item. You DO realize you pay for a brand name correct? Especially when everything like that gets made in China. I can upcharge all i want for an item, doesnt make it worth it.

How’d they fair? I’m thinking of getting AliExpress ones because the real ones cost more wlmost as much as a **** near new ENGINE!. These guys are smoking selling a “policarbonato cover” other wise known as plastic for $470! (Fibreglass reinforced?) I’d expect metal for that much lol. Anyway either that or I design my own and 3d print them out of CF nylon. Which would be stronger than the ABS they’re using
