So I rewelded the engine brace again due bad weld, because this brace was originally for a MT07 I had to grind all the powdercoating off. Its a p.i.t.a. and didnt go well. Had to redo it.

Now its working:

Note: I didnt let the bike fall I just layed it carefully down to see if the weld would break.

That has to be one of the toughest MT-03s on the planet.
Come to Europe or search driving school pictures. All bikes from Driving schools are fitted with these protection parts.

And of course with gymkhana it is needed as you will fall somewhere.

Sample:

Note: White ER6N is used for Driving school and Gymkhana.

Getting good fuel consumption after a few weeks commuting:

4.39L/100km
53.58MPG US
64.35MPG UK

At 7.56$ / US Gallon just over the border in Belgium
or 8.50$ / US Gallon in Netherlands

Pretty good for the fuel prices here.

I need to overtake a lot sometimes cost me fuel but, the fun is there.

Notice any other differences between the two?
Power of course (42 vs 190hp crank), leaning (naked vs Supersport).

just 2mm throttle is enough on the R1 meanwhile on the MT03 fully loaded is WOT only option sometimes.

Besides the obvious power increase, im suprised you didnt notice any handling differences between the two.
