I picked up a new 2019 R3 late last fall. This will be my "street" bike, and my FZ-07 will be a dedicated track bike now. I knew I wasn't going to mod it too much. I left the intake, and the motor both stock, but added an Akrapovic GP slip-on. This nets ZERO increase with the OEM CAT still in place. For these purposes, I would still consider it "stock"-

I kept reading posts about the engine braking on the R3... I never thought the engine braking was all that bad? I had www.2wheeldynoworks.com flash my ECU on my FZ-07, and they did a GREAT job!!! The removed the engine braking, lowered the "fan-on" temps, and a few other things. They transformed my FZ-07 into BEAST mode! I contacted 2WDW, and told them what I had, and what I wanted to achieve on the R3. I obviously was NOT chasing HP on a small street bike. I just wanted the engine braking removed, and have it do "better" at everything. Nels assured me they he could make that happen even on a "stock" bike (he did some provisions for the slip-on too). They had a COVID-19 special for $249, so I pulled the trigger. The turnaround time door-to-door was a week! They flash it the day they get, and it may even get shipped back the same day. I plugged it back in, everything worked as it should. On my first ride, I KNEW it was a different bike before the end of the block- Nels delivered!!! The engine braking removal we drastic.... I roll off the throttle now, and it slowly, seamlessly begins to slow down. It's effortless, and buttery smooth! It makes the bike even easier to ride than it already is. Not that it a hard bike to ride. The ECU flash just makes it easier, and more enjoyable to ride.

I know most everyone reading this is probably wondering "Does it go faster now"...... Honestly, I don't think so? That was never my intent. I may have gained a little, but on a 321cc motor, you're not going to feel even a 5% increase. I know I certainly didn't lose anything, the power felt about the same. I just wanted it to do everything "better", which it clearly does. I would recommend this ECU flash to anyone, even on a stock bike. I'm beyond satisfied with 2WDW-
